Founder / Clinical Director in LA
Joseph Jacobs, PhD, BCBA-D
Dr. Jacobs is a licensed psychologist (PSY33549) and board-certified behavior analyst (BCBA 1-14-4740) who specializes in evidence-based treatment for children, adults, and families. He provides compassionate, results-driven care tailored to each individual’s unique needs and goals.
Dr. Jacobs treats Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder (OCD) using Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP)—the gold-standard approach for both children and adults. He also uses Parent-Child Interaction Therapy (PCIT) to address disruptive behaviors in children with ADHD, ODD, PTSD, and autism spectrum disorder (ASD). His approach is collaborative, empowering parents with tools to support their child’s progress both in and out of sessions.
In addition to ERP and PCIT, Dr. Jacobs incorporates other evidence-based treatments such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), depending on the clinical needs and goals of each client. He has a particular interest in treating comorbid conditions—such as OCD with ADHD or depression—using integrated care plans that reflect the complexity of each person’s experience.
As a board-certified behavior analyst, Dr. Jacobs brings deep expertise in Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) for children with autism. He designs and oversees in-home and school-based ABA programs, collaborates with school districts, participates in IEP meetings, and provides professional training for parents and educators.
Dr. Jacobs also offers comprehensive psychological and neurodevelopmental assessments, with a focus on autism, ADHD, and learning differences in children. These evaluations provide clear, individualized recommendations to guide diagnosis, educational planning, and treatment.
Whether you’re seeking support for yourself, your child, or your family, Dr. Jacobs offers specialized, evidence-based care to help you achieve meaningful progress and long-term well-being. Tash
Hello, my name is Tash. I’m originally from the Bay Area and moved to Los Angeles in 2007. I spent eight years teaching preschool, during which I earned my Master’s in Early Education. In 2024, I transitioned from classroom teaching to become a Registered Behavioral Technician. I discovered the power of applied behavior analysis in helping children meet their developmental milestones, which inspired my career shift.
I’m passionate about working one-on-one with children and collaborating with a dedicated team to focus on each child’s unique needs. It’s wonderful to watch them grow, thrive, and achieve their goals!
